A Friend appeared to Johnathon Blaze who had fallen under the evil spell of one of the *Gems buried in Man-Thing's Swamp, alongside Dracula and Werewolf by Night. They were confronted by Deadpool, and A Friend appeared and was able to resolve the situation peacefully whilst insisting he was not Jesus, allowing Deadpool to leave with the Gem.
