Abner Jonas was a criminal mastermind. He tried to get elected mayor of New York City by running a campaign on law and order for the so-called Reform Party while at the same time causing a crime spree as the Organizer with the help of his hand picked minions, the Ani-Men. He recruited Foggy Nelson to join his party as a candidate for district attorney, using Foggy's former high school sweetheart Debbie Harris to manipulate him.
