Achmed adopted young Ororo Munroe after her parents died in a plane crash. Achmed trained Ororo to be able to open any lock. When Ororo stole the Heart of Candra jewel, Achmed took it from Ororo for safekeeping, though Achmed returned it to Ororo as she left Cairo.
