- Adam Kane was the former Chief Bio geneticist at Genomex. Adam was mentored by Doctor Paul Breedlove and was part of a DNA alteration program that was originally intended to save ill children but ended up giving many of them new mutant abilities. Once the program went south, Adam left and created Mutant X, a team of mutants meant to protect these new mutants from Genomex and Adam's rival, Mason Eckhart.
