Along with Makoto and Chloé, Adi was genetically modified by Hydra, gaining technopathic powers. On their first mission against the Avengers the three of them decided to leave Hydra. Adi and Chloé were held captive by Hydra, but Makoto brought Iron Man of the Avengers to rescue them. The Avengers then took the three former Hydra subjects under their wing, naming them the Future Avengers
