Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party during World War II, and the Red Skull was his right hand man. Captain America clashed with them many times during the war, and managed to best them every time. He was believed to have died near the end of the war, and the Red Skull continued Hitler's quest of complete world domination for the Nazi Party in present day.
