Vulture teamed up with Howard the Duck to take the writers at Marvel Comics hostage, desiring more comic book coverage. Once Spider-Man and Mister Fantastic arrived to stop the two, Howard accidentally incapcitated himself, leaving Vulture to fight the two. Ultimately, the Vulture was defeated through various traps, saving the Marvel staff in the process.
