After Captain America was lambasted by the media for decapitating the zombie Harry Truman after the presidents were brought back from death by a necromancer, Maria Hill tasked Agent Gorman to solve the issue without using S.H.I.E.L.D. agents or the Avengers to avoid any negative press. Gorman delegated the assignment to his subordinate, Agent Preston, whose solution was to hire Deadpool to dispose of the undead presidents.[1] However, Gorman was critical of the idea.
