Alan Wilson held the title of Red King of the London branch of the Hellfire Club. He fell under the hypnotic control of Margali Szardos, his Red Queen, during the Club's arrangement with Black Air. The Red King was defeated in swordplay by Nightcrawler while defending the Red Queen.
