Isabella Khair Hadid, known popularly as Bella Hadid, is an American model. Considered one of the most stylish and talented young models in the contemporary fashion scene, she won the prestigious ‘Model of the Year’ title at Model.com’s Model of the Year Awards in 2016. Hadid began her modelling career at an early age with a Flynn Skye commercial project. She went on to model for prominent fashion designers, such as Diane von Fürstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Balmain and Tommy Hilfiger. She has appeared on the covers of magazines like ‘Seventeen,’ ‘Elle,’ ‘Teen Vogue’ and ‘Vogue Australia as well. Besides modelling, she has launched her own fashion clothing line named ‘Robert Riley’s. These days it's hard to open Instagram or a fashion magazine without seeing the face of international model Bella Hadid looking back up at you, but that wasn't always the case. As the second daughter of real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid and former model turned reality star Yolanda Hadid, Bella grew up adjacent to Hollywood but not exactly enmeshed in it. Bella Hadid has always had a lot of different interests, but one of her most long-term has been horseback riding. In fact, Bella is so accomplished as an equestrian that she even hoped to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games. She once told Marie Claire that her relationship with riding goes back as far as she can remember, noting, "Equestrian, of course! I have been riding since I could walk, so it would be a dream come true to compete in the Olympics." Hadid dated Australian singer Cody Simpson from 2013 to May 2015. She appeared in his music videos for "Surfboard" and "Flower".She subsequently dated American singer Joe Jonas from May to November 2015, during which time she directed his band DNCE's music video for "Cake by the Ocean". Hadid began dating English singer Zayn Malik in late 2015, although they have broken up and reconciled multiple times. She appeared in Malik's music video for "Pillowtalk". They starred on the August 2017 cover of American Vogue, making them the third couple to appear together on a Vogue cover. It courted controversy because Vogue misnamed them as gender-fluid, for which Vogue apologized. They also did a Versus (Versace) campaign as a couple, with Hadid as the photographer. In April 2020, Hadid confirmed that she and Malik were expecting their first child during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after rumours began to circulate of her pregnancy. Their daughter was born in September 2020. The family spent a majority of their time on a farm in rural New Hope, Pennsylvania, where Hadid's mother and younger sister also own land. In October 2021, Malik entered a no-contest plea to four charges of harassment against Hadid's mother Yolanda. He was sentenced by a Pennsylvania court to 360 days of probation, and to complete anger management and domestic violence programs. Malik and Hadid reportedly ended their relationship following the incident.
