Thirteen-year-old Nate Foster fantasizes about becoming a Broadway star. However, he struggles to even get roles in his high school play. When Nate’s parents leave for the weekend, he and his friends decide to make Nate a star.
The cameo appearance after Nate sings “On Broadway” in Times Square is George Benson, whose version of the song is the one used in the movie All That Jazz, which is what Nate dances to in the opening scene.
