William John Neeson OBE is an actor from Northern Ireland. He has received several accolades throughout his career, including nominations for an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two Tony Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Venice Film Festival’s Volpi Cup.

He began training in boxing at age nine and eventually became an Ulster amateur senior boxing champion. He enrolled to study physics at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Neeson holds Irish, British, and American citizenship, having been naturalised as an American citizen in 2009.
