Latin superstar Kat Valdez decides to impetuously marry an audience member during her concert after she learns of her fiance’s infidelity before her live performance. Toward the end of the film, Lopez’s character follows Wilson’s to a math competition in Peoria. (Sort of. Signage at the “Peoria” airport clearly reads “Champaign.”) “Marry Me” was filmed in New York.
Lou Gilbert is Charlie’s 12-year-old daughter who is part of the mathletes at school. Lou is played by Chloe Coleman, who has appeared in Gunpowder Milkshake, My Spy, Big Little Lies, and the Amazon series Upload.
