POP SINGER

In 1963, Jones started to sing with the band Tommy Scott with the Senators. The crowds loved the group, but growth was limited due to their non-urban location. This changed the next year, when London-based Gordon Mills discovered Jones, bringing him to London and becoming his manager.

When Tom Jones was twelve, Tom Jones spent two years listening to music and drawing while bedridden with tuberculosis. One of his first groups was the beat group Tommy Scott and the Senators. Sir Thomas Jones Woodward OBE, known professionally as Tom Jones, is a Welsh singer. His career began with a string of top-ten hits in the mid-1960s. Tom Jones has toured regularly, with appearances in Las Vegas. Jones’s voice has been described by AllMusic as a “full-throated, robust baritone”.

Tom Jones is a Welsh singer from the 1960s. Tom was married to wife Melinda Rose Woodward until she passed away in April 2016 after a short battle with cancer. He is currently serving as a coach on The Voice UK and last year won with Ruti Olajugbagbe.09-Apr-2022
